A Message from Our Founders
|
 |
These programs were founded by the late Reverend Monsignor Richard Burke, and also by the current Executive Director, attorney-mediator, Mary S. Meade. Both recognized that too many conflicts result in bitter litigation. Both realized that far too many marriages were being destroyed in shattering divorce litigation. Below is a message from each of these co-founders.
There is always hope. The human spirit is capable of incomprehensible and mysterious transformation. It is never to late to begin again. We want to encourage our varied and diverse clients not to fear conflict; rather, conflict can become the catalyst for amazing growth and life changes. In the unity of body and soul, and through the miracle of faith and reason, you can begin to find the happiness, serenity and stability that you seek. God bless you.
Mary S. Meade
Executive Director
What eludes so many today is a sense of that which is reverent. Deep within each soul, there is a law written on the heart of each human being that provides a guideline for human behaviour. In the discernment of that law, we find Way to travel in this life. That Way leads us not only to reconciliation and mutual respect, but also to the very face of God. When we seek reconciliation alone and in the autonomy of the self, it is like walking on a treadmill. We exert much effort, but get nowhere. When we enter into communion with God and others, we find the hidden and mysterious powers of the spirit at our disposal. You can find the reconciliation that you seek if you seek it with the help of God and through the totality of who you are in God's image.
